FREE welding taster session for young people (aged 15 years+) and parents/carers at our welding & fabrication centre at Port of Blyth on Saturday 8th February. Try out welding, see our state-of-the-art facilities and find out more about full-time courses for school leavers starting in September.

About the event
This FREE welding taster session is running on Saturday 8th February, 10am-1pm, at our welding and fabrication training centre in Port of Blyth (Quay Road, Blyth NE24 3PB).
It is ideal for young people aged 15 years and over who are considering what's next when they leave school after GCSEs. Their parents/carers are also welcome to join us to explore courses and careers across the welding and engineering industry.
If becoming a welder is something you want to explore when you leave school, or if you've recently left school and you're looking for a new direction, come and give welding a go for free at our state-of-the-art welding centre!
Young people can attend with or without their parents. If parents do want to stay, they can enjoy a free cuppa and ask our experienced team of lecturers about our school leaver courses and future career opportunities.
